CLUB HISTORIAN
At the last Management Committee meeting Rob
Pollard was appointed as the Club’s Historian.
Rob has been asked to research the history of the
Dunsborough & Districts Country Club & create a
digital documentation that reflects this research.
Very little of the Club’s history is available in a written
form but so much obviously resides in the minds of
members who have been part of the development of
the Club or have knowledge of such development,
An authentic historic digital record can be successfully
developed with the cooperation of members who may
have knowledge of relevant dates, events and the
people involved in the evolution of the Club.
To this end Rob is keen to speak with any members
who may have such knowledge & would be prepared to
avail themselves for an informal interview with him.
He is happy to meet with individuals or small groups of
members who would feel more comfortable in a small
group setting.
Small groups can provide the opportunity for members
to “bounce” facts, incidents, stories etc of one another
thus having the potential to more accurately create a
reliable historic record.
Rob is very interested in hearing of any comments that
may have impacted on the Club’s development since it
was founded, no matter how signif9icant members may
feel it to be.
Photos would also be very valuable for this exercise &
will be returned after a copy is made.
If you are interested in assisting Rob in the
development of this historical record please contact
him at the Club or phone him on 0409106576.

THURSDAY BOWLS
A nice even 32 players turned up on an overcast day enabling Rob Pollard to arrange a pairs peg-draw. Despite a sprinkling of rain, two 12-end games were played and Ken Hill and Rod Winchcombe took home the meat with + 18 shots, closely followed by Dominic and Wayne Coyle who were 15 shots up. Rob Wilson and Kevin Gibb earned the chocolate.
Saturday Bowls
Just two handsful of players braved a cold but dry Saturday afternoon but enthusiastically shared in no less than three 12-end peg draws. Winners on the day were decided by total shots up in the three games which saw Wayne Coyle just beat Butch Sharpe into first place. (Congratulations to Gail Barry, the only brave woman present)
