Hello all members, sponsors & patrons

Long time Club member David Whittaker passed away last Thursday.

David was a strong contributor to tennis and The Club, he served on the Management Committee and spent lots of time in maintenance of the tennis courts.

David’s funeral will be on Thursday 11 June at 11am at the St George’s Church in Dunsborough and there will be drinks afterwards at the Country Club.

On a happier note, Leonie Walker was presented with an Order of Australia Medal from the Queen’s Birthday Honour List.  Leonie was recognised for all her work with the Active Foundation.  Congratulations Leonie

It is the beating heart of Dunsborough, stimulating and enhancing HEALTH in the various sporting facilities available to both young and old.

For the not so energetic, it circulates oxygen to the brain in the form of MENTAL activities such asSocial functions, Bridge, Mahjong, Croquet and Probus.

Tuesday’s MM bowls attracted 15 players with Peg Howley proving too good & won the day.

Geoff Oddy and Judy Henderson tied for the Runner Up position.

Thursday’s Men’s social bowls again had a good turn out with the weather being ideal foran afternoon of bowls.

The triples team of Clem Taylor, Bill Marwick & Lee Burgen were outright winners with Geoff Oddy and John Cunneen Runners Up.

The Consolation prize went to Bill Bass and Andre Gil.

Birthday wishes were extended to both Tom Ferguson on his 86th and Alan Ellis on a milestone 80th. Congrats guys again from us all.

Snakes and Ladders was well supported with 26 bowlers ready to either climb the ladder or fall down it!

new Player Gary Robinson put in a mighty effort to win the day with 6 points from Geoff Oddy close behind with 5 points.

Equal in third place were Janice Hoover and Sue Chester.

The format of seeding bowlers has become popular with all level of players able to have a chance of winning the cash.
