The Dunsborough & Districts Country Club AGM is being held on October 18th at 10.00am. Notices of any resolutions to be be considered by the meeting and Nominations for Committee Persons, correctly completed on prescribed form must be in the hands of the secretary by 4.00 pm on Friday, 11th September 2015. A short resume should accompany all nominations.
This Friday the West Coast Eagles play Hawthorn. Game starts at 6.40 pm. There will be a happy hour at the bar between 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm. Come and watch the Eagles pluck the Hawks.
We have accumulated quite a sizable amount of lost property at the Club. It is going to be displayed over the next week in the foyer. What ever is not claimed will be getting donated to a local charity.
Bowls News
Tuesday Mickey Mouse
10 players rolled up for Tuesday’s Bowls with Maureen Hines, Norm Gage and Kevin Nichols playing off in the finals.
Maureen won the event with 2 up from Norm’s 1 up and Kevin’s 0.
With Butch, Sharon and Geoff Oddy away, Maureen Hines organised the event and we thank her for her help.
Thursday Men’s Social Bowls
The event attracted a good roll up of 36 bowlers and 3 bowl Triples were played.
The winners were Wayne Coyle, Barry Baudains and Rob Wilson on a count back from the Runners Up team of Ed Hoemberg, Pete Wilcocks and Rob Pollard.
The Consolation prize went to Don Henderson, Norm Gage and Kevin Nichols.
Saturday Snakes and Ladders
18 players braved the cold weather and the winner was Butch Sharpe with 6 points and 34 shots.
Runner Up was Ian Creagh with 6 points and 30 points.
Third place went to first time participant Ralph Don with 6 points and 17 shots.
Next Saturday will be the final event of the Snakes and Ladders series.
Bowls fixtures for men are now available from the bar staff – one per member.
Ladies may get their copy from Captain Sue Chester.
A reminder to members of the Men’s Bowls Committee that the next meeting will be held this coming Thursday at 5.30 pm immediately following Thursday Bowls presentations

Last Saturday Members played the 4 th Round of the Stroke Championship.
Wayne Barnett was the Winner with a score of 69 Nett
Ian Potts was Runner Up with a score of 71 Nett.
There were some other good scores and Ken Rowell did well to win NTP on No 10 and also take off the Longest Putt on No 18.

Vets Golf Roundup
On Monday 7 September, Mark Embry, Jim Parry and Ron Carmody played at the Augusta Club Vets Day in a field of 104. Mark & Jim both scored in the 30s .
Weather conditions were perfect as was the course.
The next Vets Fixture is at Bridgetown on Wednesday 16 September at Manjimup. Names to Mark Embry by this Wednesday. Thanks.
