“That the Dunsborough & Districts Country Club Inc., apply to the City of Busselton for a loan up to $110,000, repayable over 10 years, to complete the replacement of existing carpet on A & B Bowling Greens.”

AFL FOOTBALL TIPPING 2017

Register your interest if you would like to take part in this years AFL footy tipping.  All entry fees will be paid out as prizes.  The season starts Thursday 23rd March.  Registration closes Wednesday 22nd March.  Cost is $20 per person.  The more entries, the bigger the prize pool.  Call 97553250 or email manager@dunsboroughcountryclub.org.au to register.

SUNDAY LUNCH @ THE CLUB

Chef Colin Lyttle will be providing meals from 12.00 pm on Sunday’s. at the Club  The Sunday special will be a 300g rump steak, chips, salad and either a schooner of beer, a wine or a glass of sparkling for $20.00.  There will also be a choice of other dishes to choose from.  Meals are also available on Saturday from 4.30pm.  Come along and enjoy the new alfresco dining area.

FRIDAY TWILIGHT BOWLING 

Friday at 6.00pm (5.45pm arrive).  Mike O’Mara will be running  a social twilight popstick drawn pairs.  Cost is $5.00.  Cash prizes.  Great fun in a casual environment.  Stay on for dinner after bowling.

On the 2nd March there were 36 players in attendance with the winners being B Bass, H Fischer and J Cunneen.  The runners-up were K Alls oop,  M Osbourne and H DeBoer.   M Finney, P Wilcocks and G Winter won the consolation prize and G Oddy, T Halden and K Hill took home dessert.

LADIES BOWLS

 

 

CHAMPIONSHIP TRIPLES. 22ND FEB.

The final two rounds of the Ladies’ Championship Triples were played on Wednesday 1st March.

The result was a cliffhanger , with the winning team of Sue Chester, Gail Barry and Kate Speedy having 12 points for 4 wins, winning 24 ends and with 42 shots up.

Runners up, Daisy Grist, Denise Mott and Janice Hoover also scored 12 points for 4 wins,won 24 ends, but had 41 shots up to lose by one shot.

Congratulations to the winning teams.

On Wed 8th March the club have invited lady ex bowlers Lady Corporate Bowlers and visitors to take part in a social morning of play with a light lunch to follow.

The aim is to get more ladies interested in playing bowls.

Mal Williamson on a countback from Phil De Garis both with a score of 30 .  Phil also got the longest putt on No 18.

 Next Vets is at Sanctuary on Tuesday 14 March.

Names have been submitted.

 Thanks to Barry for managing the tee watering over the  summer.

We’ll have some roll on grass ready to go down on the approach renovation to N0 14 green in  the near future and will call  for assistance .

 

 Like the kangaroos, we’ ll see you on the green fairways soon now that autumn is here!!

Lemon, honey and ginger chicken skewers served with chips and salad.

Asparagus fetta and roast vegetable risotto.

Friday Night Jackpot

The first Jackpot Draw on Friday night was not won. The second draw for $200 was also not won.  This Friday night there will be two jackpot draws again.  The first draw will be for $1000.  The second draw for $300.  Members must be financial and present to claim. The Jackpot is drawn between 5.30pm and 6.30pm in the Clubroom bar.
