Hi Riders,

Members of the Cycle Club have been busy as usual. Thanks to the 18 or so helpers who came along on Sunday’s Trail Care Day and helped build new structures, prune, rake, chop, and use our new toys- a hedge trimmer and blower vac. There is more to be done, look out for our next Trail Care Day Sunday feb 26. 8.30am for a couple of hours or so.

We are preparing for two MTB events in March, Vineyards 101 ride, and X Adventure.

Mondays GRASSROOTS Ride was well attended with about 7 younger kids, and 7 older ones plus parents and helpers. Competition was tough, with timed rides over various trails according to ability and confidence.

Next  GRASSROOTS Ride Monday Feb 20. Check out Facebook for more info and term timetable.

Social beginners MTB ride Sunday Feb 12th at Margaret River. Meet 2.30 pm at Rotary Park for a ride on Return of the Jedi. Approx 13 km trail, flat, uses Heritage Trail out to Burnside Rd, then return along easy non- technical singletrack. Advanced riders could do their own ride on favourite Black Trails and meet for a recovery drink at Brewhouse Margaret River. This ride suitable for families and kids.

Plenty of options here to catch up with new members,

Helen Baker
