“Blue Metal Golf “ played at Dunsborough Country Club
On Saturday 19 December we played the “Blue Metal Putts Competition Event” on Holes 10 to 18which have been completely renovated to the final plan formula, and including five of our original sand green holes.
The Blue Metal event winner was Barry Jackson who completed the 14 Holes using only 22 Putts closely followed by Stephen Roberson on 23 Putts.
This showed that the new blue metal greens played well .
Holes 10 to 18have been completed and we hope to have Holes 1 to 10 completed by the second week in the new year.
Well done to you all.
For those wishing to nominate for the Vets Golf please do so by 15th January 2016 at the latest by contacting Mark Embry on 97568079 or 0411228724.
Cycle News
MTB rider/s wanted to join Helen on MTBs for tail end charlie- running event on 10 January 2016, from Busselton Jetty to Old Dunsborough boat ramp – entirely on the beach. The race starts at 4:30am, with sunrise at 5:20am and a low, low tide at 6:00am. The event website is here: http://www.entersandman.com.au and the Facebook event page is here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1540227152957003/
Job to an insomniac MTB cyclist with a lot of patience. The successful applicant will need to be at Abbey boat ramp at 5:00am, with a back pack containing 3L of water (provided by me), a small first aid kit (also provided by me) and a (working, fully charged) mobile phone with my number in it, ready to ride tail end charlie for the remaining 17km of the event, It will probably take 3 hours on mostly firm, flat sand (maybe one or two carries). Notwithstanding that it will be an aesthetic and spiritually moving experience, for the right person, I’m prepared to offer $50 cash.
Please register your interest with Andrew Cohen at andrew@fixedstars.com.au.
