It is Trevors Carpets this weekend.  A lot of work once again has gone into ensuring this event will be run at the highest level.  Good luck and good bowling to all teams.

CROQUET NEWS

South West Golf Croquet Pennants.

For the first time we fielded a team to play in the pennant competition against teams from Bunbury and Busselton. Congratulations to David Bell, David Collins, Karen Martin and Robin Beer, pictured below. The fixture was a steep learning curve for both players and officials but these four acquitted themselves well. Pennants is a round robin format, so each player played four singles matches. David Bell and Robin Beer both won a match and Robin lost two of his matches on the final hoop.

This Thursday the match is at home against Moorabinda White.

Weekend Croquet

Increasing numbers have forced the Croquet section to consider additional playing days. Over the last month players have been introduced to ricochet, and on Sunday morning 12 players took to the court to play this more tactical form of the game. We are indeed fortunate to belong to a club where all three forms of croquet are played, because this means we can cater for everyone.

AC is played on Tuesday and Friday mornings, ricochet on Friday afternoon and Sunday mornings, and golf croquet on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Golf croquet is a good starting point for new players. Please be there at 2.45pm on Wednesdays and 3pm on Fridays to put your name in so the captains can organise the games.
