Tuesday July 26th Squash results from Butch.
We had 21 players today as it was such a beautiful day. The spectators enjoyed the exciting final which was played between Terry South, Tom Ferguson, Geoff Oddy and Maureen Hines. Geoff played 2 magic shots to save the game and prevent Terry from scoring as overall winner. The prize money was divided between all the finalists. A great day was had by all.
Thursday July 28th Men’s results from Ian Creagh.
There were 34 starters on a fine day. The top two teams were decided on a countback as both had plus 12 shots. Winners were C Taylor, A Gill and W Coyle from K Nicholls, G Oddy and S Rogers. The consolation went to B Sharpe, B Bass and B Hitsert whilst the MB award went to D Tillotsen, (good Kalg boy) T South and J Cunnean.

Just a dozen hardy spirits braved the elements last Saturday for the 12th round of Dash for Cash, with Wendell Hoover rushing in at the last minute to kindly make up the even number. It was a good job he did, as he and Ed Bunbury came second on the day, the winners being Dennis Frost and Norm Gage. There is still only three points separating the top six in the Saturday winter competition.

Men’s Golf Stroke Championships Round 3 Results
A keen field contested this event on Saturday with fortunate weather conditions prevailing .

Ladies Golf.
NINE HOLES 26th July
Some nine hole golfers were attending Enid Clarke’s birthday, so there were only 7 players.The ladies played a stableford.
The winner was Lorraine Lewis. She had 19 points but had to have 2 deducted as she had been a previous winner.
Runner up was Aviva Gordon with 16 points.
EIGHTEEN HOLES
12 ladies played a stroke and putting round, silver spoon and international bowl, and a qualifying round for the championships.
Nancy Williams scooped the pool, being gross winner with 91 and also net winner with 69 nett. She also won the Silver Spoon, and the International bowl.
Runner-up to the nett was Leonie Walker with 73 nett.
A grade putting was won by Aileen Morris with 27 putts on a countback from Leonie Walker.
B grade putting was won by May Armstrong with 33 putts.
Joan Embry was Nearest the pin on 10, and the longest putt on 1 was won by Lorraine Lewis.
