Hello Members, Sponsors & Patrons

Friday Night Dinner

Many thanks to Bruce, his lovely wife Sharon, their daughters and Francis for stepping up to the plate

to keep our Friday night meals going while we are in transition of chefs.

I think everyone of the 70 diners thoroughly enjoyed their meal.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK:-

A day without laughter is a day wasted.

Junior Golf

JUNIOR GOLF and COACHING

Junior Golf was held at the DDCC for the school terms 2 & 3. We were very lucky to have Steve Dartnall

to coach the children and we thank him very much for giving us his time to do this.THANKS Steve!! Much

appreciated by the parents, children and myself.

The children certainly learnt a lot and improved immensely which was demonstrated on the last day-when an

8 year old who only started golf this year was able to do just 2 hits and still get down to where Steve hit a

huge 9 iron – well done Blayde!!

All parents should be very proud of their children, who attended, as they had lovely manners and listened

very well which is a credit to the parents and children. The children’s behaviour  was excellent!! Well done!

Thanks to all the parents for taking time out to bring their children on a Sunday morning.

Thank you to our sponsor of Junior Golf- much appreciated by everyone!

Lastly have a great break over summer and hopefully will see you all again next year with a few friends!!

Happy golfing!!

Hi riders,

The Cape To Cape Organisers are after some volunteers for Day 4 of the event, Sunday Oct 23rd. If you can help marshal on the day, please email Helen at membership@dunsboroughcycleclub.org.au  Times approx. 8am to 1pm or so. Marshalling involves being out on the course directing riders at strategic places, so if you like telling people where to go, this is ideal for you!

Help also wanted manning food stalls at the Country Club, times approx. 10.30 to 2pm. Again, please contact me if you have some free time on the day.

See photo for the quality of riders training for the event. These elite guys do a very fast MTB ride wed 4.30pm. There is another MTB ride Wed at 5pm more suitable for those without such strong thighs and fitness!!

Social GRASSROOTS MTB Ride on Friday Sept 30 at Secret Whicher. Suit kids and beginner adults, and any others up to 99 yrs old. Time TBA. Check out Cape Mountain Bikers and Dunsborough Cycle Club Facebook pages for details to follow.

Hope to see you on your bike,

Cheers, Helen
