Quiz Night
The DDCC Ladies Golf are holding a Quiz night on Saturday 7th October @ 7.30pm. Tickets are $10 each (Tables of Six preferred). BYO nibbles. Great prizes. Tickets are available from the bar.

ALL Paypal users on Wild Apricot
IF….
you have paid your Membership Fees by Paypal through the Wild Apricot site for the 2017/18 year then please DO NOT reverse any fees at a later date without checking with me first.
Some people are going to their bank statement at a later date and seeing a Paypal payment there and thinking they have not used Paypal when in fact they have-they must have chosen it as their payment option when paying their fees. You can use the Paypal option without having a Paypal account!!! You pay into the DDCC Paypal account by using it.
One problem is that the Paypal is only identifying the payment by putting “Dunsborough” in the Memo section allowing you to identify who the payment was to. It should be saying “Dunsborough Country Club” but of course it won’t fit in some cases!!
We have now changed it to DDCC in the Memo for you to identify the payment which should solve the problem from now on. HOWEVER it will NOT solve the payments already made for the 2017/18 fees.
PLEASE CHECK WITH ME FIRST IF IN DOUBT AS THERE IS A $15 FEE BEING CHARGED TO DDCC BY PAYPAL WITH EACH REVERSAL- IT DOES ADD UP!!

BOWLS NEWS
It was hailing on Thursday when 24 bowlers were directed by young Peter Cracknell towards ‘B’ green. But optimism prevailed and the clouds soon cleared, so that fine fun followed.
It was good to see Wayne Barnett back in action and he partnered Ralph Don to win the day, closely followed by Lindsay Blyth from Busselton and our own Linton Thomas.
Kelly Allsop assisted Johnny Cunneen in taking home some chocolate.
‘B’ green will still be open this Thursday.
Affiliation fees are now due and payable to the treasurer, Hans Queckfelt

Results
Last Wednesday’ Scroungers Event saw Barry Jackson the winner with a score of 38. Runner Up was Ken Littlefair carding 36. Well done both,
Other scores were Doug Macpherson 34 – Doug Gilchrist 32 –
Ron Carmody 29 – Mark Embry on 28 as was Jim Parry and Mal Williamson on 27.
There was no set game on Saturday because of various Members commitments and the AFL Grand Final.
Most of our players played Vets at Pemberton on the Friday however with Mark Embry and Mal Williamson being the best of our group. Mark won the OBE on the day.
Vets next game is at Harvey on Monday 9 October. Entries are in.
DDCC Golf Course reached international status last Friday when a group of visitors from New Zealand contacted me and played our course as visitors and then came back to the Friday night dinner. They were most complimentary of the course and the evening.
Perhaps this may be a new trend.
Combined Golf Committee meeting is being held today at 1.30 pm
NB There is one essential only in the Golf Swing- The ball must be hit!

May Armstrong and Lorraine Lewis were the only two to turn up to play.
They played a game together.
Five of our ladies went to Harvey to play in their Open Day on Tuesday.

Friday Night Jackpot
The Jackpot Draw on Friday night was not won . The Jackpot will be $1000 this week. Members must be financial for the 2017/18 membership year now and present to claim. The Jackpot is drawn between 5.30pm and 6.30pm in the Clubroom bar.
