Tuesday July 19th results:
Butch reports that they had 15 people today. This due to a break in the weather. The final was played with Christine Coyle, Andre, Norman Gage and Maureen Hines. After a tight final Christine Coyle and Norman Gage drew with 2 all to share the 1st prize.

Gent’s bowls on Thursday 21st had R Pollard and D Frost as winners with the consolation prize going to G Owens and W Coyle. The MB award was presented to K Littlefair and B Pearce.

Saturday 23rd. The freezing weather kept many regulars away last Saturday though a baker’s dozen enjoyed Saturday’s Dash for Cash. Butch Sharpe carried Wayne Coyle to win the aggregate by one point from a triple, Graham Gooding (welcome to this new member), Norman Gage, and Merv Mott. After 11 rounds there is a close contest for the kitty with only two points separating the top five contestants. 37 players have played at least one game thus far.

Croquet News

croquet

All hail the intrepid croquet players !  Sunday last our 2 stalwarts namely Glen and Steve arrived at Bunnings at approximately 6.30am to setup the barbecues for our second sausage sizzle, the temperature was 5 degrees !!!!!!!!!!!, not to be deterred they soldiered on, as  the morning moved on the foot soldiers turned up to assist for what proved to be a very successful day. Our thanks go  again to Glen and Steve for the organising of this fund raising event on behalf of the Croquet section.

Our picture shows 2 beautiful Labradors who salivated for approximately 2 hrs  whilst their owner was shopping. I might add he did buy them a sausage!!!!!!!!
