BOWLS NEWS

MEN’S BOWLS

TUESDAY MIXED SOCIAL BOWLS -July 17th 2018

We were able to squeeze another game with the weather staying away long enough to finish the day off.

Steve Nicholson & Trevor Palmer were the first into the finals followed by Domenic Didorio. They all played some exceptional bowls in the 4 end final but nobody could gain supremacy so it finished in a 3 way tie.

Well done and hope to see everyone again next Tuesday.

THURSDAY BOWLS-July 26th 2018

Winners last Thursday were Kelly Allsop, Tom Fergusson and Kurt Weir on a +13.

Runners up were Graeme Evans, Jim Walker and Ken Hill.

Consolation prize to Richard Pennington and Ian Creagh.

There were no Mars Bar Prizes this week.

SATURDAY BOWLS

Due to inclement weather only a few stalwarts had a roll on Saturday but no comp was played.

CROQUET NEWS

Not much croquet news this week.

The rain has interrupted play but games still went on.  We have some stalwart players or perhaps not so.  The main reason is that everyone has a good time playing croquet.

Some newcomers this week were Kim, Ian and Stuart.  Not sure if they will continue but great to see new faces.

So because not much else to say. Here is my cartoon for the week. This is very appropriate for the present weather.
