membership@dunsboroughcountryclub and let me know what
needs to be changed and I will do it for you.
PLEASE DO THIS BY THE 25th OF MAY to give me time to update

If you have any problems with any of the above and I am happy to

THE DDCC AHEAD OF THE CURVE
Mick Murray the Minister for Sport and Recreation reported recently the following-
“Three years ago the Bayswater Bowling and Recreational Club was the verge of closing. Members were at an all time low, bar takings were down and the Club was in a steady decline that marks the end of so many local community sports. However, the Club had the courage to take a chance on youth and diversification. Now the Club is home to a hockey Club, Bike Polo, Basketball, bridge, a community garden, children friendly discos which attracted families, etc. The Bowling Club is booming because it is no longer just a Bowling Club.
The State Government will always invest in quality community facilities, but equally we must have more sustaining Clubs that embrace their local community.”

BOWLS NEWS
MEN’S BOWLS
22 men and 5 ladies attended the AGM last Thursday when reports were received from all sections and the new Men’s Bowls committee was elected – see noticeboard for details. Several issues were discussed, the major one being that each bowler’s contribution to the Club Affiliation fee to BWA be included in the annual fee to the Bowls section, with an increase in the combined fee to be set in the coming season at $180 per bowling member.
Numbers were down somewhat in the afternoon when Rob Pollard and John Cunneen ra in n the usual peg-draw. Young Tom Ferguson, with assistance from Wayne Coyle, went home with the meat, the runners-up being Toby McCarthy and a visitor, Albie Gray. Pat Cunneen helped Norman Gage to a Mars bar each.
In order to ascertain how many of the cupboards in the Bowls changing room are empty and available, the committee requests that those who use the said cupboards should kindly attach their names to the outside. We can then invite those who are presently without storage space to acquire the spare ones.
