Tennis News
“The Tennis “Court Upgrades” Sub-Committee recently submitted to funding applications, City of Busselton Community Bids for $50,000 and Department of Sport & Recreation (CSRFF Small Grants) also for $50,000 (Note: DSR have had big cut backs in their funding allocations for example, in this current round, there is only $650,000 for all WA not for profit sporting projects).
These external funding applications, if successful, will go toward the $213,000 cost of 2 new hard courts and the re-surfacing of the two Synthetic courts. If we are successful then the Club will then apply to the City of Busselton for the remaining funds needed through a self-supporting loan (SSL).
The new courts will provide much needed increased playing space for Club members, our growing Junior coaching squad (80), local and out of town visitors and add significantly to the Club revenue stream. We will keep you posted on the success or otherwise of these external funding applications.”
