In the words of local Dunsborough resident and yoga instructor Mandy Lancellas ‘I thrive on encouraging those who feel they ‘can’t do yoga’ to become those who can, by exploring the multiple benefits for the body, mind and soul.Gentle Hatha Yoga enables the body and mind to find calm and focus in the present moment. It is through breath awareness that we manage to realign our physical body with the mental and energetic systems. Our main focus is safe and effective alignment, to create awareness, strength and mobility. As we grow older the saying of ‘what we do not use, we loose’ begins to resonate with us more and more and so its vital to keep the body moving in a gentle and safe way, maintaining a healthy range of movement throughout our senior years and reducing the risks of injury.’
Mandy invites anyone who is interested to join her for a gentle and safe yoga practice, suitable for all levels including beginners and people over 50.
Feel free to contact Mandy for any further information.

BOWLS NEWS
MEN’S BOWLS
MIXED TUESDAY SOCIAL BOWLS
Another 26 Bowlers turned up again and the weather presented itself perfectly. We played 3 different games the dyad had a few people bewildered by it albeit we still got through and had a ball.
Gail Barry was the first one through to the final followed by Brian Logan, Chris Jackson and Martin Osborn. There were some excellent shots played by the 4 Bowlers but no-one could get the edge and all finished in a tie.
Well done and hope everyone can come along next Tuesday for another fun day.
THURSDAY BOWLS
Now that IGA in Busselton is closing down, one or two Busselton bowlers now retrieve their meat from Dunsborough IGA! This week they also obtained a Mars bar from the local IGA. Winners at Thursday’s peg-draw were Rolf Groenheide (Busselton),our own Geoff Oddy, and Andre Gil with +25. Runners-up were Tim Sansom and Rob Prentice with +15. Syd Rogers (Busselton) was assisted by Steve Kristiansen in winning the Mars bar.
Only eight bowlers of both genders pitched up on Saturday for a peg-draw, Garry Robinson going home with a small fortune, with Jem Coupar a worthy runner-up.
LEAGUE CHALLENGE FINAL WEEK
The last game for this competition was played under perfect conditions at Augusta. Our team travelled there with five points up on Augusta but knowing that everything would go right down to the wire.
Our first game was in fact against Augusta and we each won a set so it went to a tie breaker. We lost that and went into the next game with two points still up on that club. Our next game was against Margaret River and that team played just superbly. We were stopped going to a tie breaker on the last end of our second set which meant no points for us.
We were so relaxed in the last game and having so much fun against Cowaramup that we got the maximum 5 points.
So the final result boiled down to MR vs Augusta in their tie breaker. Naturally we were barracking for MR as that would mean we would win and indeed they were up one shot with Andrew from Augusta to deliver the last bowl. He had other ideas in his head, he was brought into the team for this specific reason and he did not let the club down and won the tiebreaker and the series for Augusta.
Final results were Augusta on 41 points, Dunsborough 39 with MR and Cowaramup taking the last two places.
This was a great competition, full of fun and relaxation and all teams look forward to doing it all over again. It was suggested that clubs could put two teams in and play two groups with a grand final play-off and this to be discussed by club delegates in June at the League Meeting. We offer Lyn Colmer thanks for organizing this event.

Following discussion among the current playing group last Saturday it was moved that :-
“Names and registration times will be revert to 11.45 am with Hit Off at 12.00

This decision was based on the weather pattern, daylight and lateness of the day for finishing a round.
