Yoga is back ON ! from next Wednesday, 29th August
‘Yoga for over 50’s’ at Dunsborough and Districts Country Club for ladies AND gentlemen !!
– Beginners welcome !
In the words of local Dunsborough resident and yoga instructor Mandy Lancellas ‘I thrive on encouraging those who feel they ‘can’t do yoga’ to become those who can, by exploring the multiple benefits for the body, mind and soul. Gentle Hatha Yoga enables the body and mind to find calm and focus in the present moment. It is through breath awareness that we manage to realign our physical body with the mental and energetic systems. Our main focus is safe and effective alignment, to create awareness, strength and mobility. As we grow older the saying of ‘what we do not use, we loose’ begins to resonate with us more and more and so its vital to keep the body moving in a gentle and safe way, maintaining a healthy range of movement throughout our senior years and reducing the risks of injury.’
Mandy invites anyone who is interested to join this gentle and safe yoga practice, suitable for all levels including beginners and people over 50.
Date: Wednesdays
Time: 9:00 am
Venue: Dunsborough and Districts Country Club
Cost: $15
* Please bring a blanket for relaxation (as well as your own yoga mat if you have one).
* Yoga mats available for hire $3
For any queries (or to book a yoga mat) please call Mandy Lancellas 047 505 7294

MEN’S BOWLS
Tuesday Mixed Social
We had another excellent turn out on Tuesday, 30 players and what a great day. We even had some very good bowls played amongst the fun and laughter.
Toby McCarthy was first into the finals followed by Geoff Oddy, Alan Legg and Maureen Hines. Toby stormed away at the start of the final and kept his momentum up throughout to win the day. Good going. Thanks to everyone for coming along and hope to see you next Tuesday.
Thursday
Despite an early heavy shower, 42 bowlers took part in the regular peg-draw.
The legend, Kelly Allsop, was partnered by the retired baseball king, Toby McCarthy, to win the meat by 2 wins +35.
Butch Sharpe accompanied Geoff Benn to replenish their beer stocks, coming second with 2 wins +18.
Next week’s winners were Bill Hitsert and John Cunneen.
Saturday
The ATO has been informed of Dennis Frost’s whereabouts. Once again he took home the huge first-place fortune (still using his left arm!), beating Sharon Sharpe, who came second, by just one shot. Merv Mott and Garry Robinson shared 3rd place.
Empty lockers are still available in the men’s changing room.

Six contestants from Halls Head, Forrest Park, Gosnells, and Dunsborough enjoyed the beautiful sunny weather for most of the Round Robin event of five, two and a half hour, games.
Many thanks to Brian & John with assistance from David B (greens, hoops); David Collins (scoring) Glen, Kate, Terry & Vaile (baked goodies); Wendy (sandwiches and general help); and Bruce (help above and beyond).
