A huge THANK YOU to the first 3 of our Club Signage Sponsors for their support of the Dunsborough & Districts Country Club.

BOWLS NEWS
MEN’S BOWLS
TUESDAY MIXED SOCIAL BOWLS -July 10th 2018
We had a lot better weather for our bowls and 25 bowlers turned up to play.
Maureen Hines played very well to be first into the finals followed by Wayne Coyle, Chris Jackson and Graeme Winter.
There were some excellent shots played in the 4 end final but Maureen was too strong and won the day. Good going.
Thanks everyone for coming along and hope to see you all next week.
THURSDAY BOWLS-July 10th 2018
On Thursday we had a good field of 30 bowlers with Steve Kristensen going home with a meat pack and he was ably supported by Geoff Oddy and Bill Pearce. The runners up were Toby McCarthy and Ken Hill.. The consolation went to the Rob Wilson and Graeme Winter and the prized chocolate award going to Rob Prentice (chocolates to boiled lollies) and Lindsay Perry.
SATURDAY BOWLS
On Saturday a small but very talented field of bowlers competed with Dennis Frost and
Don Henderson finishing on the podium.

CROQUET NEWS
On Friday night the Jackpot of $1000.00 was won by a croquet player Jacqueline B. Congratulations Jacqueline, we were all excited for you. Another 2 players won $20.00 each, Don and Caryll. Seems the croquet table was very lucky. Let’s hope this luck continues on to other players. A special thanks to Karen who goes around to the members selling and promoting the $100.00 club each week.
Also to Frances who works tirelessly on Friday evenings, attending to tables and the members needs. Frances does this without taking a cent for herself. The money she earns is donated to the croquet club. This is a very selfless act and we applaud Frances for this.
The dreaded flu had attacked some of our cherished players. Let’s hope you all get well soon and are back on court. We miss you on court and at drinkie times.
If any Country Club member would like to come along and try out croquet, our playing times are Wed and Fri afternoons between 2-5pm. Equipment available. You will be very welcome.
