BOWLS FIXTURE BOOKLETS

Please note that the Printer made an error in our Bowls Fixture booklet in regard to “Men’s Phone Numbers” with the result that a considerable number of members’ names were omitted.

Consequently I arranged for an insert to be printed & have glued these into books on hand.

If you have already received a booklet then the inserts are available at the bar. Please glue this into your booklet.

Unfortunately the men’s Secretary, Norman Gage’s mobile PHONE number was incorrectly printed. Please note the following number for Norman and MAKE THE CHANGE IN THE OFFICE BEARERS SECTION OF THE FIXTURE BOOKLET NOW.  This is an important number so please ensure that you have it correctly recorded in your booklet.

Norman Gage    – Mobile No  0499 828 541

DASH FOR CASH concludes next Saturday 17th September. My thanks is extended to Norman Gage for his tremendous role in organising this event during the winter season.  Thanks also to Gary Robinson for supporting Norman with the administrative tasks.

Mickey Mouse bowls will continue for a while longer.

Captain

Tuesday Sept 6th :
The day turned out very good for weather and the field of players was also exceptional with 25 players. There was some very good bowls played throughout the day and the 4 players to go through to the final were Norm Gage, Jean Kelly, Jenny Bruce and Sharon Sharpe. Norm played superbly and was a very worthy winner. Thanks to all for coming along and making it such an enjoyable and fun day.

Thursday Sept 8th :
A good size group of people continue to support Thursday Bowls and we have been pretty lucky with the weather.
This week C Dawson and B Pearce won from W Coyle and L Thomas. The consolation prize went to J Cunneen and B Sharpe whilst W Hoover and R Winchcombe went home with desert.

Saturday Sept 10th :
There was a poor turnout for the 17th round of Saturday’s “Dash for Cash” with four Pennant bowlers from Fremantle joining eight locals for drawn pairs. Jill and Graeme Winter won the aggregate, with Keith and Marge from Fremantle worthy runners-up.
The competition ends next Saturday with three players sharing top spot in the dash for cash. Will the luck of who chooses the best partner decide the outcome? Or will one come out on top through sheer skill?

All men are once again reminded that the new shirts will be presented this coming Thursday after the game and before Gibby’s sausage/steak/bun. Did you put your name on his list?

Please note:

Ladies bowls will commence on 28th September
