SOLAR PANELS
Management has approved of the purchase and installation of 70 solar panels which will save $6000 to $7000 on energy costs per annum, at current prices. This project will be funded from Club funds with a return of 20% which I think you will agree is better than bank interest.
Many thanks to Max Kewish for his thorough research on the many products available. Well done.

AFL FOOTBALL TIPPING Closes Tomorrow
If you would like to take part in the Country Club AFL Tipping Competition this season please register at the bar or by emailing me at manager@dunsboroughcountryclub.org.au Entry cost is $20. All monies received will go out is prizes. The more tipsters we get the better the prizes. Registration closes 21st March 2018.
Tipping cards are being printed for each tipster. Each week before the commencement of the first game to be played you must complete your tips. This is done by putting a line through the side who you think will lose, leaving your chosen side visible. If you are unable to do this you can send me your tips via email.

BOWLS NEWS
MEN’S BOWLS
Attendance equalled the record when 57 players took part in last Thursday’s peg-draw. Geoff Benn and Rob Pollard were victors on the day, just one shot ahead of the runners-up Ed Hoemberg and Lindsay Blyth. Steve Kristiansen and Jim Holroyd enjoyed the chocolate. The contestants enjoyed a barbecue afterwards thanks to the monies collected during the year for wrong biases and fines for ‘inappropriate behaviour’. Garry Morris, on behalf of the Professionals, presented Dennis Frost with the sponsor’s prize for winning the Singles Championship, while Gary Davies received the Runner-up award.
Please check the sheets on the noticeboard and append your name if you wish to play in Leeuwin League and/or SWBL Pennants next season. With the AGM coming up next month there is also a list of Office Bearers for the 2018-19 season requiring proposers and seconders; don’t be shy.

TENNIS NEWS
Tennis Section is seeing increasing numbers on the courts generally, and organised play is seeing all of the courts in use demonstrating the success of the improved facility.
A huge thank you to the many Tennis Section helpers who organised some plants, prepared the ground and planted, weeded and watered the surrounds of the Tennis courts. The many helpers made the job so much easier and ultimately the entire area will benefit from this effort. What a pleasure to have so many willing helpers and happy faces. Thank you all for your effort!
