TUESDAY MIXED SOCIAL BOWLS

Newsletter Men’s Golf Section 25 April, 2017 (Ron Carmody –Capt)
Last Saturday a field of 14 keen players took part in our celebration game of Memorial Day with drawn partners playing a pairs ambrose competition.
Memorial Day acknowledges the great effort put in by past members in fostering the game of golf both in a personal way and a physical effort to develop the course and Club spirit that is our legacy today.
Jim Parry acknowledged the efforts of these members with some special and at times , humorous words leading up to the presentation to the winners at the end of the game.

Winners on the day were Barry Guest and Ian Potts with a Nett 65-1/2..
Our Sponsor pair also scored a Nett 65 1/2..
Runners Up were Gary Boterhoven and Doug Gilchrist with aNett 67., on a count back fromStephen Robertson and Peter Jordan also on 67.
Other scores were :- Jim Parry and Mark Embry on67 1/4, Mal Williamson and Ken Littlefair on 68 3/4 and Paul Smith and Ron Carmody on 70.
Players also enjoyed the Hole 12 incentive which saw a boost in their spirits .
Ken Littlefair also provided the Novelty winners , Mark Embry and Gary Boterhoven with some new golf balls.
Paul Smith generously rounded off the day with some delightful tapas.
In all it was a great Day for all of us to share memories of family, friends and mates.
Well done and thanks to all , past and present.
