“That the Dunsborough & Districts Country Club Inc. apply to the City of Busselton for a $114,000.00 loan, repayable over 10 years to complete the construction of 2 new tennis courts, resurface the 2 synthetic courts and apply a new coat of paint on the 2 existing hardcourts.”

A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE.

The Thursday bowls after Christmas saw 35 players compete which was a great roll-up.
The winners were A Gill and E Hoemburg with the runners-up being H DeBoer and R Don. The consolation prize went to K Hill and D Norton whilst the MB trophy went to C Adams and K Littlefair.
A reminder to all bowlers that if you are attending an event at any other club and you are in the winner’s circle please advise me so I may acknowledge it in this newsletter.
We extend a welcome to all visitors who would care to join us in a game of golf Croquet, Friday evenings 5 pm for a 5.15 start, finish by 6.30 in time to enjoy a meal at the club

LAST Wednesday saw 12 golfers golfers contest the final game before Christmas .
The Winner on the day was Barry Jackson with a score of 34 on a countback from Doug Gilchrist also 34, for the fourteen holes .
Included in Barry and Doug’s scores also were the two novelties ,Barry putting out on No 18 and Doug comfortably on No 10 with his drive.
However there was also some early excitement on No 10 when Doug also took this photo of a non paying visitor leaving its tell tale calling card. Obviously it did not know about our rule which says one scrape out from the hole and one scrape back !!
WE may have to employ caddies on our next summer round of golf.

Friday Night Jackpot
The Jackpot Draw on Friday night was not won. This Friday nights jackpot will be $600. Members must be financial and present to claim. The Jackpot is drawn between 5.30pm and 6.30pm in the Clubroom bar.
